Measurement and Installation Instructions for EVA Foam Weatherstripping
Measuring the Door Frame:
To ensure a proper fit, measure the length of the door frame and cut the EVA foam weatherstripping accordingly. Leave a little bit of extra length to ensure a snug fit.
Cleaning the Surface:
Before installing the EVA foam weatherstripping, clean the surface of the door frame where the weatherstripping will be applied. Use a clean, dry cloth to remove any dirt or debris.
Cutting the Weatherstripping:
Use scissors or a utility knife to cut the EVA foam weatherstripping to the desired length.
Applying the Weatherstripping:
Peel off the protective backing from the weatherstripping to reveal the adhesive side. Apply the weatherstripping to the door frame, starting at the top and working your way down. Press the weatherstripping firmly against the surface to ensure a good seal.
Checking the Fit:
After applying the weatherstripping, close the door and check the fit. If there are any gaps, remove the weatherstripping and adjust the length accordingly. Once the weatherstripping is properly sized, reapply it to the door frame.
Testing the Seal:
To test the seal, close the door and run your hand along the weatherstripping. You should feel a tight seal between the door and the frame. If there are any gaps, adjust the weatherstripping as needed.
By following these simple instructions, you can easily measure and install EVA foam weatherstripping to improve the energy efficiency of your home or building. The weatherstripping will help prevent drafts, noise, and dust from entering or escaping through the gaps around your doors, making your home more comfortable and energy-efficient.
